About The Brand

For this project, I decided to change the name to Science Chemistry Institute due to the large amount of chemistry tools on continuous display/rotation. Not to mention, "SCI" feels more fitting as an acronym compared to "SHI."
An interesting device on display at the time was one of the first braille machines created in the early 1900s. Drawing inspiration from that machine, the group of 6 dots next to each letter of the brand name represent those letters in braille. By shifting every other row slightly, the braille also functions as an abstracted DNA strand and particles - helping lay the foundation of a new brand element while tying back to the museum's scientific roots.

INNOVATION
The designs part of this campaign utilize the braille from the logo as a motif, creating a pattern that naturally helps your eye flow through designs.
INNOVATION serves as a general marketing campaign to promote the museum - featuring oversized, playful typography intertwined with images of actual scientific instruments on display. The business cards and brochure continue to expand the use of the braille design element, while featuring an illustration pulled directly from the museum's archives.
Book of Secrets
Book of Secrets was a limited exhibition that centered around the mysteries of alchemy, informing museum-goers of the scientific practices and instruments used to study the controversial science of the time. The special edition poster utilizes imagery curated from master paintings and illustrations from alchemy sketchbooks in the museum's archives.
